Welcome to About Kayaks River Rentals, the only kayak rental on the St. Sebastian River, one of Florida’s last remaining natural waterways, abundant with wildlife. We're located in Indian River County on Florida's Treasure Coast, just north of Vero Beach.

Kayaking is an eco-friendly way to immerse yourself in the beauty and wonder of nature. We specialize in 2-3 hour self-guided tours as well as custom-designed Group Adventures featuring the facilities of Dale Wimbrow Park. Paddling is easy, going downstream with the gentle current with sit-inside and sit-on-top single and tandem kayaks. We supply you with the kayaks, paddles, life vests, and instructions. After only a few minutes on the water, most beginners find paddling easy and fun. Exploring the beautiful St. Sebastian and its wildlife is an adventure, creating memories that last a lifetime.

About Kayaks River Rentals is a member of the American Canoe Association (ACA ) a nonprofit organization that promotes fun and responsible canoeing, kayaking, and rafting. Founded in 1880, the ACA actively advocates recreational access and stewardship of America's water trails. Although the Sebastian River is typically very gentle, easy to navigate, and uncrowded during these brief excursions, you may wish to review the "Top Ten Safety Tips" including "Practices, Ethics, and Conduct" at American Canoe Association.

COVID Notice #4: August 20, 2021

During this spike in COVID, we want to keep everyone safe with the following changes
to ensure physical distancing and contactless procedures
while still connecting you with nature on the beautiful St. Sebastian River.

• To limit indoor interactions and get you on the water faster, please reserve your spot by phone at 772-589-3469 and complete your waivers online by clicking the tab in the bottom right corner.
• If it's necessary to visit the office to register, we ask that you wear a mask.
• All equipment will be delivered to Dale Wimbrow Park, our only launch site at this time. We will meet you there and maintain strict, proper distancing.
• Our gear is carefully disinfected between users: kayaks, lifejackets, and paddles.
• Kayakers will launch themselves from the Wimbrow Park boat ramp (which may be slippery ) and return to the park.
• Each kayaker must be self-sufficient – able to self-launch and return safety, getting the kayak fully back onto land.
• Call to let us know you have completed your adventure before departing.
• To help our fragile environment and wildlife, please bring water in reusable bottles.
• If needed, the park has a recycling bin.
• Rest rooms are available at the park.

Please call 15 minutes before arriving so we can have everything ready for you.

24-hour advance notice is appreciated for groups of 11-30.
