After checking in and leaving your car at the office, you will be transported to your choice of three launch sites, depending on how long a trip you'd like to take.* Our standard routes take approximately two and three hours. The last launch of the day is at 2:00 pm. The river bends through thick vegetation comprised of subtropical plants, mangroves, oaks, cypress, and palms. The flow rate is typically slow and the river is protected from the wind, so the paddling is typically very easy, even for a beginner.
COVID-19 Temporary Change #2 - March 19, 2020
Out of respect for everyone’s health, we are suspending kayak rentals and services for the coming weeks
as the coronavirus poses threats that can be impossible to identify in real time.
Since carriers may be asymptomatic, it is most respectful of our kayaking clients,
as well as our staff, to take this unprecedented precaution.
We hope you will still enjoy some relaxing, rejeuventing time in Nature
and we look forward to seeing you on the other side of this global event.

* COVID-19 Temporary Change #1 - March 16, 2020
Out of respect for everyone’s health, we are taking extra precautions with the advent of the coronavirus. For now, we are launching kayaks only from Dale Wimbrow Park, rather than transporting to launch sites up-river. This allows kayakers to check in at our office, then simply drive across the street to the Wimbrow parking lot, where we will help you get started and meet you when you return.
Enjoy some relaxing time on the River and thank you for accommodating this temporary change.
Along the way you're likely to see lots of wildlife, including many species of water fowl and birds-of-prey including Osprey, Sandhill Cranes, Herons, Egrets, Vultures, and Bald Eagles. Turtles, alligators, and wild boar may be seen sunning themselves. Otters, Raccoons, an occasional Bobcat, and of course, Manatees are seen at different times of year.
When you reach Riverside Church, please call us at (772 ) 589-3469 from your cell phone. We will be at Dale Wimbrow Park to meet you.
